Airlines Longest 737 Flight<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Operating as a summer seasonal service, the new route forms part of Alaska Airlines\u2019 broader ambition to establish Seattle (SEA) as a true international hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paddleyourownkanoo.com\/2025\/09\/04\/alaska-airlines-will-operate-the-longest-boeing-737-flight-of-any-us-carrier-with-3622-mile-route-to-iceland\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">PYOK<\/a>, the carrier aims to expand with 12 long haul international routes within the next four years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beyond Iceland, the airline will begin <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/tag\/boeing-787-dreamliner\/\">Boeing 787 Dreamliner<\/a> services from Seattle to Rome (FCO) and London Heathrow (LHR) in May 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These Experience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike widebody aircraft commonly used for transatlantic travel, the <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/tag\/boeing-737-max-8\/\">Boeing 737 MAX 8<\/a> will feature Alaska Airlines\u2019 standard domestic configuration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Economy passengers will not have access to seatback entertainment or enhanced catering options, though free in-flight Wi-Fi will be available to all travelers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First Class passengers, limited to just 12 domestic style recliner seats, will benefit from a refreshed dining program being rolled out across the carrier\u2019s narrowbody fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While comfort levels may differ from widebody service, the offering reflects Alaska Airlines\u2019 effort to balance efficiency with customer Use<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Thankfully for travelers, the Seattle to Reykjav\u00edk route will be the only long haul service operated by Alaska Airlines on a single aisle jet, at least for
