ADELAIDE-<\/strong>\u00a0Jetstar Airways (JQ)<\/a> is significantly expanding its low\u2011fare offering with a major capacity boost in its domestic operations centered on Adelaide (ADL).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jetstar will introduce over 350,000 additional low\u2011fare seats annually across its ADL network, significantly expanding domestic connectivity. The deliberate increase underscores the airline\u2019s commitment to affordable travel from South Australia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jetstar Adds Adelaide Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Jetstar will add 13 new weekly flights beginning 26\u202fOctober\u202f2025 on three key routes. The Adelaide\u2013Melbourne (MEL)<\/a> service will grow from 35 to 40 flights per week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Adelaide\u2013Brisbane (BNE) route increases from 10 to 14 weekly flights; Adelaide\u2013Perth (PER) flights will climb from seven to 11 per week.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To support the additional services, Jetstar will base an extra Airbus A320ceo at Adelaide Airport, increasing its locally stationed fleet to six aircraft. This deployment enables operational flexibility and supports the expanded schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jetstar to offer more Affordable Fare Options<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The newly added services will come with low\u2011fare one\u2011way prices. Fares start at AU$111 for Adelaide\u2013Melbourne, AU$174 for Adelaide\u2013Brisbane, and AU$191 for Adelaide\u2013Perth. These competitive rates expand travel options and make domestic travel more accessible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adelaide Airport Managing Director Brenton Cox welcomed the expansion, stating that increased capacity will foster economic activity in the region. He noted the development supports jobs in crewing, ground handling, and aircraft maintenance:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jetstar has been an important driver of our recent record passenger numbers. These extra flights and increased capacity will generate even more choice on popular routes. Double daily flights to Brisbane and more flights to Melbourne and Perth are a win for our customers. We thank Jetstar for basing an additional aircraft at Adelaide Airport. This is a significant investment from Jetstar in addition to the aircraft – also supporting crewing, ground handling, and maintenance jobs\u201d.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Jetstar\u2019s Executive Manager, Customer, Jenn Armor, emphasised that the new flights offer South Australians more affordable travel choices, making it easier for them to travel for both business and leisure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Travel and tourism stakeholders predict a boost in local tourism as the improved schedule and fare options attract more visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
