JEDDAH-<\/strong> Saudia (SV)<\/a> has started selling its Singapore (SIN) to Bali (DPS) fifth freedom flights, giving travelers a new flat-bed Business Class choice on this popular short route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The service is part of the airline\u2019s Jeddah (JED) to Singapore to Bali flights, and tickets for the SIN\u2013DPS sector are now available independently, with fares and award redemption options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Saudia New Flat-Bed Business Class<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Saudi Arabia\u2019s flag carrier launched 3 times weekly flights between Jeddah (JED)<\/a> and Bali (DPS) via Singapore (SIN)<\/a> in March 2025. Operated by Boeing 787s, the route features a 2-class configuration, including 24 flat-bed seats in Business Class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initially, only passengers to or from Jeddah were allowed on board the SIN\u2013DPS leg. Since August 2025, however, approval has been granted for fifth freedom traffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reported by Mainly Miles<\/a>, this makes Saudia the third flat-bed Business Class operator on the route, alongside Singapore Airlines (SQ)<\/a> and KLM (KL)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Departures from Singapore at 17:15 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays allow travelers to reach Bali just after 8:00 pm, a workable option if you can leave the office slightly early.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The return flights from Bali are late-night departures (22:15 or 23:45), landing back in Singapore between 00:45 and 02:15, giving a full last day on the island before leaving for the airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Business Class Details<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Saudia\u2019s Boeing 787<\/a> fleet, primarily the 787-10 on this route, offers 24 Collins Aerospace Super Diamond seats in a reverse herringbone 1-2-1 layout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These fully flat beds come with a 17-inch HD touchscreen, AC and USB-A charging, and Panasonic Avionics satellite Wi-Fi (free for Business Class passengers).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the shorter 2-hour 50-minute SIN-DPS hop, the flat-bed feature may not be essential, but it adds comfort compared to regional narrow-body products. On the longer JED\u2013SIN sector (9+ hours), the lie-flat design is especially valuable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Singapore Changi Airport (SIN), Saudia operates from Terminal 3 and directs premium passengers to the SATS Premier Lounge<\/a>, which is functional but not among the top lounges at Changi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Bali (DPS), Business Class passengers gain access to the Garuda Indonesia Lounge. Reviewers have found it acceptable but largely forgettable, as experienced on previous KLM flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dry Airline Considerations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Saudia is a dry airline, meaning no alcohol is served in any cabin, even in Business Class. This can be a drawback for passengers who consider champagne on board or wine pairings as integral to the premium experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On short-haul routes like SIN\u2013DPS, the absence may matter less, since there is barely enough time for a full meal service. Some travelers may even prefer starting their holiday without alcohol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instead, Saudia emphasizes a wide range of non-alcoholic beverages, Arabic coffee, specialty teas, and juices, ensuring alternatives are available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
