LONDON-<\/strong> British Airways (BA)<\/a> has unveiled its 2026 summer schedule, adding capacity to long-haul destinations including Bangkok (BKK), Miami (MIA), and Kingston (KIN).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline will expand flights from both London Heathrow (LHR) and London Gatwick (LGW), aiming to give travelers more flexibility and choice for next year\u2019s travel season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The carrier, which operates one of the largest networks from London, is introducing additional frequencies across North America, the Caribbean, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With expanded services, British Airways (BA) is targeting growing demand for leisure and business travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

British Airways Summer 2026 Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The highlight of the 2026 summer schedule is the return of year-round flights from London Gatwick (LGW) to Bangkok (BKK)<\/a>. Previously a winter-only route, the service will now operate three times weekly in summer, increasing to six weekly flights in winter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This adjustment represents nearly 60,000 extra seats and supports growing interest in Southeast Asia. Through its expanded codeshare with Bangkok Airways (PG), passengers can also connect to destinations such as Phuket (HKT) and Phnom Penh (PNH).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Caribbean, British Airways is adding one additional weekly flight between London Gatwick (LGW) and Kingston, Jamaica (KIN), bringing the total to four per week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The increase comes as the Jamaica Tourist Board expects five million arrivals by March 2026, and BA\u2019s expansion adds more than 300 weekly seats on the route. The airline remains the UK\u2019s longest-serving carrier to the Caribbean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miami (MIA) will once again see a double-daily service from London Heathrow (LHR), while Dallas\/Fort Worth (DFW)<\/a> regains daily flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Las Vegas (LAS) frequencies will increase from 10 to 13 weekly flights, and services to San Diego (SAN) and Austin (AUS) will each double to 14 weekly flights, offering strong U.S. coverage for summer travelers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The U.S. remains central to British Airways\u2019 network strategy. New York John F. Kennedy (JFK) flights will now operate exclusively from London Heathrow (LHR), where BA will run nine daily services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The newest frequency will be served by a Boeing 777-200<\/a> featuring First and Club Suite cabins, offering premium travel options on the flagship route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expanding Middle East Operations<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

British Airways (BA) is also investing in its Middle East operations. Bahrain (BAH) will move to a daily service from Heathrow (LHR), more than doubling current frequencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flights to Saudi Arabia will expand with Jeddah (JED) increasing to five weekly services and Riyadh (RUH) growing to 14 per week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Doha (DOH) will also rise to 14 weekly flights, enhancing travel options for both leisure and business passengers in Qatar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Short-Haul Growth in Europe<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Beyond long-haul markets, British Airways\u2019 Gatwick-based subsidiary BA Euroflyer is strengthening the short-haul network. Rabat (RBA) in Morocco and Graz (GRZ) in Austria were added in 2025 as year-round services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These additions complement the flag carrier\u2019s expansion, providing more options for travelers seeking both city breaks and cultural destinations within Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neil Chernoff, British Airways\u2019 Chief Planning and Strategy Officer, said the expanded summer schedule reflects the airline\u2019s commitment to meeting customer demand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He emphasized that the growth gives passengers \u201cgreater choice and convenience,\u201d whether traveling for business, leisure, or family visits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
