NEW YORK-<\/strong> Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines (DL)<\/a> flight DL668 from New York JFK to San Francisco (SFO) was diverted to John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH) due to a medical emergency on August 20, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As per the published schedule, Delta Air Lines operates half a dozen daily flights between The Big Apple and The Golden City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delta JFK to SFO Flight Diverted<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to FlightRadar24 data, Delta Air Lines flight DL668<\/strong> took off from New York JFK at 11:22 UTC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aviation A2Z<\/a> sources revealed that, after being airborne for over an hour, the flight attendants reported a passenger suffering from labor pains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following this, they alerted the cockpit crew, who contacted the nearby ATC to make a diversion at Columbus Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The crew stopped cruising at 32,000 feet and descended for a precautionary landing at CMH. The flight landed safely at CMH at around 12:46 UTC. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The passengers and crew were deboarded, and the passenger suffering from labor pain was provided with necessary medical care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After remaining on the ground for nearly two hours, the flight took off from Columbus at 14:37 UTC. The flight reached its destination, San Francisco<\/a>, without any incident at 18:55 UTC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flight was operated by a 28.1-year-old Boeing 757-200, registered as N713TW<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delta Air Lines coordinated the diversion smoothly, ensuring that medical assistance was ready without delay. Passengers reported that the crew handled the situation calmly and kept everyone informed throughout the diversion process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the medical emergency, the aircraft remained grounded at SEA for approximately two additional hours. This delay was partly due to flight crew duty time regulations, which limited how long the original crew could continue operating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
