TOKYO-<\/strong> Japan Airlines (JL)<\/a> has released its Winter 2025 schedule, featuring expanded international and domestic routes. Key highlights include daily Narita\u2013Melbourne (MEL) flights, the resumption of Narita\u2013Shanghai Pudong (PVG) services, and new aircraft deployment on long-haul routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, JAL will strengthen domestic operations by adding capacity on high-demand routes such as Tokyo Haneda (HND)\u2013Sapporo New Chitose (CTS) and Osaka Itami (ITM)\u2013Sapporo. The schedule also includes special flights to Honolulu (HNL) during peak holiday periods and the debut of Japan Transocean Air (NU) international service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Japan Airlines A350-1000 to Paris<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To meet strong demand, JAL will boost international capacity starting October 26, 2025. The Narita\u2013Melbourne (MEL) route will move from three flights per week to daily service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Narita\u2013Shanghai Pudong (PVG) connection, suspended in recent years, will return for the full winter season except between December 10 and 17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From November 9, 2025, the Airbus A350-1000 will operate daily on the Haneda\u2013Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) route<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This marks the fifth Haneda-based long-haul route to use the A350-1000, alongside New York (JFK), Dallas\/Fort Worth (DFW), London Heathrow (LHR), and Los Angeles (LAX). The aircraft features advanced cabin pressure and humidity control systems, plus JAL\u2019s newest premium seating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Holiday demand will also see a boost to Hawaii operations. Special flights between Narita (NRT) and Honolulu (HNL) are scheduled in December and January using Boeing 787-8 aircraft. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, larger Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with First Class service will be used on select Haneda\u2013Honolulu flights around the year-end holidays, including December 27 and 30, as well as early January 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A significant development for the group is the launch of Japan Transocean Air\u2019s (NU) first regular international flight. Starting February 2026, the airline will operate between Okinawa Naha (OKA) and Taipei Taoyuan (TPE). This expansion integrates the Okinawa-based carrier more fully into JAL\u2019s international strategy, strengthening connectivity between Japan and Taiwan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Domestic Network Enhancements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Domestically, JAL will respond to winter travel demand with capacity increases. From January 6 to February 28, 2026, the Tokyo Haneda (HND)\u2013Sapporo New Chitose (CTS) route will grow from 17 to 18 daily round trips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Osaka Itami (ITM)\u2013Sapporo (CTS) will expand to five daily round trips between January 31 and February 28.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additional increases include Fukuoka (FUK)\u2013Okinawa Naha (OKA), which rises from six to seven round trips daily between October and January, and Nagoya Chubu (NGO)\u2013Okinawa Naha (OKA), which increases from four to five round trips during the December holiday period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seasonal adjustments will also apply at Sapporo Okadama (OKD), where schedules are optimized to account for winter weather disruptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fleet Deployment and Service Adjustments<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

JAL continues aligning its fleet to demand patterns. The introduction of the A350-1000 on Haneda\u2013Paris reflects the carrier\u2019s strategy of modernizing long-haul services with more efficient aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Honolulu flights during peak demand will use the Boeing 777-300ER with First Class, offering the premium JAL SUITE product on a limited basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These moves are paired with seasonal service increases and reductions across multiple domestic routes. Adjustments range from expanded flights to Hokkaido and Okinawa to reductions on select routes such as Haneda\u2013Aomori (AOJ) and Osaka Itami\u2013Niigata (KIJ) during off-peak periods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
