LONDON-<\/strong> British Airways (BA)<\/a> pilot Robert Brown is set to face a parole hearing as he seeks release from prison. The convicted killer, who murdered his estranged wife, Joanna Simpson, near London Heathrow (LHR), will be assessed by experts in January 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brown, 60, was originally scheduled for release in November 2023 after serving half of his sentence, sparking public anger and government intervention. The Parole Board has now confirmed a two-day oral hearing where his risk to the public will be closely reviewed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the night of October 31, 2010, Brown attacked her and later phoned the police claiming a domestic incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He accompanied officers when they discovered Joanna\u2019s body in Windsor Great Park. His conviction for manslaughter, rather than murder, led to controversy, given the brutality of the crime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
