TAIPEI-<\/strong> STARLUX Airlines (JX)<\/a> has announced a new interline partnership with American Airlines (AA)<\/a>, enhancing connectivity between Taipei (TPE) and a vast network of North American destinations. This development follows STARLUX\u2019s recent launch of nonstop flights between Phoenix (PHX) and Taipei, further strengthening its transpacific presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agreement allows passengers to book single tickets and check luggage through to their final destination, linking American\u2019s extensive U.S., Canada, and Mexico network with STARLUX\u2019s Asian and transpacific routes. Travelers can now connect to Taipei from major American Airlines gateways such as New York (JFK), Philadelphia (PHL), Boston (BOS), Chicago (ORD), Charlotte (CLT), Miami (MIA), Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), and Mexico City (MEX).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

STARLUX and American Airlines Internline Partnership<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The interline partnership creates a streamlined travel experience for customers of both airlines. With one booking, travelers can fly American to key hubs across North America and transfer seamlessly to STARLUX for flights to Taipei and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Checked baggage will be tagged to the final destination, eliminating the need for recheck during connections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For American Airlines customers, this opens access to STARLUX\u2019s growing Asian network, which includes destinations in Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For STARLUX passengers, American\u2019s network offers over 250 destinations in North America, providing more choices for both business and leisure travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Executives from both carriers highlighted the strategic benefits. STARLUX CEO Glenn Chai noted that the partnership significantly expands the airline\u2019s U.S. reach, while Anmol Bhargava, American\u2019s Senior Vice President of Alliances, emphasized the convenience for customers traveling between Taipei and North America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Phoenix\u2013Taipei Route Integration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The launch of STARLUX\u2019s new Phoenix<\/a>\u2013Taipei service has been coordinated with American Airlines\u2019 domestic schedule to optimize connections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phoenix (PHX), a key hub for American in the southwestern U.S., offers strategic access to western and central U.S. markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flight JX026 from Taipei arrives in Phoenix at 5:40 p.m. local time, allowing connections to more than 40 U.S. cities. The return service, JX025, departs Phoenix at 10:45 p.m., giving passengers from over 60 cities the ability to connect through American before continuing on STARLUX to Taipei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aircraft and Service Details<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Phoenix\u2013Taipei route will be operated using Airbus A350 aircraft<\/a> configured with 306 seats: four in First Class, 26 in Business, 36 in Premium Economy, and 240 in Economy. STARLUX is positioning the service as a premium travel experience with its boutique-style approach, offering elevated cabin comfort, curated meals, and attentive onboard service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founded in Taiwan, STARLUX serves 29 destinations, including four other U.S. routes: Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO), Seattle (SEA), and Ontario, California (ONT). The new Phoenix route, launching January 15, 2026, will become its fifth U.S. destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

American Airlines is one of the world\u2019s largest carriers, operating thousands of daily flights to over 350 destinations in more than 60 countries.
