HONG KONG-<\/strong> Cathay Pacific Airways (CX)<\/a> canceled 22 flights over 2 days following severe weather that disrupted operations at Hong Kong International Airport (HKG).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thirteen flights were grounded on Friday and nine on Saturday after the city experienced record-breaking black and red rainstorm warnings, causing widespread air traffic control delays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cathay Pacific Cancels 22 Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On Thursday, Hong Kong issued its fifth black rainstorm warning of the year, the highest level of rain alert, marking the most since the Hong Kong Observatory began recording in 1998.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
