While the exact cause remains under investigation, the incident exposed gaps in operational oversight and spurred the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to conduct a comprehensive safety audit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The DGCA\u2019s audit found 93 safety-related issues in Air India\u2019s operations, the highest among Indian carriers. Its current fleet includes 191 aircraft, while low-cost arm <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/tag\/air-india-express\/\">Air India Express (IX)<\/a> operates 115 planes, according to Flightradar24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An airline spokesperson emphasized that India\u2019s current MRO infrastructure cannot support this scale.
