Over time, its A380 network expanded across several US gateways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As of now, the airline continues to operate the aircraft to <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=New+York+JFK\">New York JFK (JFK)<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=Los+Angeles\">Los Angeles (LAX)<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=San+Francisco\">San Francisco (SFO)<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=Houston\">Houston Intercontinental (IAH)<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=Washington\">Washington Dulles (IAD)<\/a>. Emirates has since returned to using smaller aircraft like the 777, which offer better route economics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other A380 operators at DFW included <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/tag\/british-airways\/\">British Airways (BA)<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/tag\/qantas\/\">Qantas (QF)<\/a>, with the latter planning a return in August 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"751\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/800_emiratesa380x4atakl.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-40604\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/800_emiratesa380x4atakl.jpg 751w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/800_emiratesa380x4atakl-300x240.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 751px) 100vw, 751px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Photo: Emirates<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-boston\">Boston<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Boston received its first Emirates A380 in January 2017 for infrastructure testing, with regular service beginning in June 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The A380 replaced the <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/tag\/777-300er\/\">777-300ER<\/a>, and despite the 34% increase in capacity, the route maintained an 87% load factor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This high performance wasn\u2019t enough to maintain the superjumbo after January 2020. All subsequent services reverted to Boeing 777 aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, Emirates sent an A380 to <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/tag\/chicago-ohare-international-airport\/\">Chicago O\u2019Hare<\/a> on July 19, 2016, for infrastructure testing. Regular service to ORD remains on the 777-300ER with no plans to reintroduce the A380.
