ZURICH-<\/strong> Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) (IATA: LX)<\/a> has officially unveiled its new \u2018SWISS Senses\u2019 cabin concept at Zurich Airport (ZRH), highlighting next-generation First and Business Class seating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The redesigned cabins will debut this fall aboard the airline\u2019s new Airbus A350-900 aircraft, with the first long-haul service launching to Boston (BOS) this winter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Airbus A350-900<\/a>, set for delivery in October 2025, will initially operate on European routes before commencing intercontinental flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SWISS has already opened bookings for A350-operated flights from 1 January 2026, showcasing its largest cabin investment to date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These next-generation aircraft will feature the new SWISS Senses cabin interiors, including updated first and business class products. A total of 10 Airbus A350s will join the fleet by 2031, gradually replacing aging Airbus A340-300s and select Airbus A330-300s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SWISS A350 First and Business Class<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

SWISS\u2019s introduction of the \u2018SWISS Senses\u2019<\/strong> cabin marks the airline\u2019s most significant onboard product upgrade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The newly designed First and Business Class seats are centered around personalization, privacy, and comfort. These upgrades are not just cosmetic\u2014every element has been reimagined to enhance the passenger experience, right down to the sensory level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Airbus A350-900 will be the first aircraft in the SWISS long-haul fleet to feature the new cabin, setting a new standard for luxury and functionality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following initial deployment within Europe, the aircraft will enter transatlantic service with flights to Boston (BOS)<\/a>. The enhancements will later extend to the existing Airbus A330-300 and Boeing 777-300ER fleets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fleet Modernization<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

SWISS currently operates a widebody fleet comprising Boeing 777-300ERs, Airbus A330-300s, and Airbus A340-300s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of Lufthansa Group\u2019s centrally coordinated aircraft procurement strategy, SWISS will receive at least 10 Airbus A350-900 aircraft. Five jets are scheduled for delivery between late 2025 and 2027, with the remaining five arriving by the end of 2031.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initial batch of A350s will replace SWISS\u2019s four Airbus A340-300s, while later deliveries will begin to phase out older Airbus A330-300s. The Boeing 777-300ER and select A330s will remain integral to the airline’s fleet in the long term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This acquisition aligns with Lufthansa Group’s broader strategy, which includes Boeing 787-9s and more A350s to be shared across Lufthansa (LH)<\/a>, Austrian (OS), and SWISS (LX).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although SWISS is currently allocated 10 A350s, future adjustments may increase this number, depending on fleet requirements and further allocations within the group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
