These changes will affect pilots flying out of multiple hubs, including Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The furloughs, effective November 1, and downgrades, effective October 1, are part of Spirit Airlines’ ongoing restructuring efforts following its emergence from Chapter 11 bankruptcy in March. The airline is focusing on aligning its workforce with a leaner flight schedule to improve financial performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
