GLASGOW\u2014<\/strong> A 41-year-old man was removed from an easyJet (U2)<\/a> flight EZY609<\/strong> from London Luton Airport (LTN) to Glasgow Airport (GLA) on Sunday, 27 July 2025, after causing panic by repeatedly shouting religious phrases and falsely claiming to have a bomb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incident forced an emergency landing<\/a> just minutes before the scheduled arrival in Glasgow. The suspect reportedly claimed he intended to send a message to U.S. President Donald Trump<\/strong>, who is currently in Scotland<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

easyJet Passenger Arrested at Glasgow<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The disturbance began when the man emerged from the aircraft lavatory shouting \u201cAllahu Akbar\u201d with his hands raised, alarming passengers and crew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eyewitnesses said the suspect then shouted, \u201cI\u2019ve got a bomb,\u201d prompting confusion and fear among those on board. The man continued by shouting politically charged phrases, including \u201cDeath to America, death to Trump.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initially perceived as a prank, the situation escalated when the man physically pushed flight attendants, prompting a swift passenger-led takedown. Multiple individuals restrained him until the aircraft landed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft, operated by easyJet, made an emergency landing at Glasgow Airport (GLA)<\/strong>, where Police Scotland<\/strong> officers boarded the plane, arrested the man, and took him into custody.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Multiple passengers overheard the comment and immediately alerted the cabin crew. The flight crew acted swiftly, informing the pilots, who decided to divert the aircraft back to St. Pete\u2013Clearwater International Airport (PIE)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flight landed safely around 2:00 p.m.<\/strong>, where law enforcement and bomb-sniffing K9 units were waiting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
