Hong Kong Airlines Incident at the Taipei Runway<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The incident occurred at approximately 11:10 a.m. local time after Hong Kong Airlines flight HX252, an Airbus A320<\/a> carrying 161 passengers and seven crew members, landed safely at Taoyuan International Airport (TPE).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During post-landing taxiing, the aircraft unexpectedly encountered another plane\u2014Hainan Airlines flight HU7987<\/strong>, which had just arrived from Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Taiwan\u2019s Civil Aviation Administration (CAA), preliminary findings suggest that the Hong Kong Airlines aircraft was directed toward an incorrect taxiway by air traffic controllers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
