The addition of newer or more efficient aircraft via leasing is expected to partially offset the aging fleet and enhance fuel efficiency and reliability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SpiceJet (SG) also operates <strong>De Havilland Canada DHC-8 Dash 8<\/strong> aircraft, mainly used on regional and short-haul routes, which make up <strong>24 aircraft<\/strong> of its total current fleet. However, the Boeing 737 remains the backbone of its network, with 29 active and parked units in service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Debojo Maharshi, Chief Business Officer at SpiceJet, noted:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThis addition will significantly strengthen our fleet and enable us to deliver a superior flying experience to our passengers.
