DELHI\u2013<\/strong> Tata Group-owned Air India (AI)<\/a> has announced the phased reinstatement of several international routes following the \u201cSafety Pause\u201d that began after the tragic AI171 <\/strong>incident on 12 June 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline will partially restore frequencies from August 1, 2025, with full operational resumption targeted for 01 October 2025. This move follows Boeing 787<\/a> inspections and ongoing geopolitical airspace constraints in the Middle East and Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air India Partially Restores Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Air India has begun the process of restoring flights that were temporarily reduced during the June\u2013July \u201cSafety Pause.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This precautionary step, initiated after the fatal AI171 incident, enabled in-depth checks on Boeing 787 aircraft and adjusted operations due to restricted airspace in conflict-affected regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From 01 August through 30 September 2025, the airline will resume or adjust frequencies on select long-haul routes across Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific, and Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most notable change is a new routing between Ahmedabad (AMD) and London Heathrow (LHR)<\/a>, which will temporarily replace the current Ahmedabad\u2013London Gatwick (LGW) service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
