Considerations

Unlike some competing U.S. carriers, American Airlines still restricts customers from leveraging its extensive hub network for alternate routings, a policy inherited from its US Airways merger.

This limits the full potential of same-day travel tools and could impact customer satisfaction.

If American aims to maintain a customer-first Business™ program, offering enhanced benefits for companies spending $250,000 or more annually on business travel.

This update, launching July 21, rewards both companies and employees flying with American Airlines (AA) from airports such as Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) with more miles and perks.

The AAdvantage Business™ program continues to benefit businesses booking via aa.com, the mobile app, or through agencies. Travelers earn AAdvantage® miles and Loyalty Points, while employers gain access to tools for reporting, duty-of-care, and traveler management.

New Tier Benefits High-Spending Business Travelers

The new AAdvantage Business Select™ tier is tailored for companies whose travel expenses exceed $250,000 per calendar year.
