LONDON-<\/strong> British Airways (BA)<\/a> has announced 3 new additions to its short-haul routes, strengthening its European and North African reach. The new services will operate from London Gatwick (LGW) and London City Airport (LCY) to Rabat (RBA), Graz (GRZ), and Madrid (MAD).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BA Euroflyer and BA Cityflyer, the airline\u2019s two regional subsidiaries, will launch these routes in the Winter 2025 season, enhancing travel options for both leisure and business passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

British Airways 3 New Routes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

From November and December 2025, BA Euroflyer<\/a> will operate flights from London Gatwick (LGW) to Rabat, Morocco (RBA), and Graz, Austria (GRZ), while BA Cityflyer will introduce flights from London City Airport (LCY) to Madrid, Spain (MAD).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These new destinations are part of British Airways\u2019 strategy to diversify its short-haul network and strengthen connectivity from key London airports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each route includes Club Europe, the airline\u2019s short-haul business class cabin, offering upgraded services such as a full meal, drinks, lounge access (where available), and additional baggage allowance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Gatwick lounge has recently been refurbished with a new bar and modern furnishings, further enhancing the customer experience for premium travelers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

British Airways\u2019 Morocco Portfolio<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

British Airways will begin flights to Rabat (RBA) from 5 November 2025, making it the third Moroccan destination on the carrier\u2019s network, alongside Marrakech and Agadir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Operated by BA Euroflyer, the service will run twice weekly, on Wednesdays and Sundays, using an Airbus A320<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Morocco has experienced a significant tourism surge, with the Ministry of Tourism reporting a 68% increase in visitors compared to 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rabat, the nation\u2019s capital, offers a compelling mix of modern city life and rich heritage, featuring historic landmarks, traditional souks, and coastal charm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BA Direct Access to Southern Austria<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Flights between London Gatwick (LGW)<\/a> and Graz (GRZ) will commence on 21 November 2025, running three times weekly – Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, using the Airbus A320. This is the only direct link between London and Graz currently available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Graz becomes British Airways\u2019 fourth Austrian destination, joining Vienna<\/a>, Salzburg, and Innsbruck. The city is popular for its UNESCO-listed old town, festive Christmas markets, and summer outdoor activities, making it a year-round option for holidaymakers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This launch follows Austria\u2019s renewed cultural prominence, including its Eurovision victory, expected to increase international interest in the country. One-way fares to Graz start at \u00a360.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Madrid Connectivity Boosted<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

BA Cityflyer will operate 11 weekly services from London City Airport (LCY)<\/a> to Madrid (MAD)<\/a> starting 1 December 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These flights are in addition to British Airways\u2019 existing Madrid services from London Heathrow, bringing the total to 44 weekly flights between the UK and the Spanish capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Timings are optimised for business and leisure travelers, as well as those making onward connections in Madrid, particularly to South American cities such as Bogot\u00e1, Montevideo, and Lima.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
