The airline also saw a 41% year-over-year increase in total passenger numbers, underscoring strong demand ahead of the peak summer season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The carrier transported <strong>182,854 passengers<\/strong> during the month, compared to <strong>129,722<\/strong> in May 2024, driven by both network expansion and operational efficiencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>May 2025 marked a milestone for Norse Atlantic Airways, setting new internal benchmarks for both passenger volume and aircraft utilization:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>96% load factor<\/strong> across total operations (up from 81% in May 2024)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>95% load factor<\/strong> in the scheduled network (up from 79% YoY)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>584 scheduled flights<\/strong> operated (up from 513)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>64 ACMI\/charter flights<\/strong> operated (up from 55)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These figures reflect a <strong>15-percentage-point<\/strong> increase in the overall load factor and a <strong>16-point<\/strong> rise within the scheduled network. The 95% scheduled load factor ties with Norse\u2019s previous monthly record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the airline, these results confirm the viability of its low-cost, long-haul strategy amid seasonal growth and increased route offerings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite high load factors and flight volumes, <strong>on-time performance<\/strong> declined slightly. Only <strong>81%<\/strong> of flights departed within 15 minutes of their scheduled time, compared to <strong>86%<\/strong> in May 2024. Norse attributed the dip to <strong>ongoing Air Traffic Control (ATC) delays<\/strong> and <strong>airport congestion<\/strong> across several European and North American hubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The airline emphasized that punctuality remains a focus area, particularly as demand rises during the summer travel surge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bj\u00f8rn Tore Larsen, CEO and founder of Norse Atlantic Airways, expressed confidence in the airline\u2019s continued upward trajectory:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>Norse Atlantic Airways continues to deliver a world-leading load factor and significant volume growth.
