MUMBAI-<\/strong> Five passengers and two crew members on board Air India\u2019s<\/a> London Heathrow (LHR) to Mumbai (BOM) flight AI130<\/strong> reported dizziness and nausea mid-flight on June 23, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incident occurred during the aircraft\u2019s journey from London Heathrow Airport to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air India (AI) confirmed that upon landing in Mumbai, two passengers and two crew members were taken to the airport\u2019s medical facility for evaluation. All affected individuals were later discharged. The airline has launched an investigation and notified the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air India Crew, Passengers Fall Sick<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to Air India\u2019s official statement, passengers and crew aboard flight AI130 began feeling unwell at various points during the nearly nine-hour flight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The symptoms included dizziness and nausea, though no cause has been publicly identified as of now. Despite the onboard health concerns, the Boeing 787 aircraft<\/a> landed safely in Mumbai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Medical teams were deployed on the ground, and those who continued to feel ill were transported to the airport\u2019s medical room for further assessment. The situation was reported promptly to India\u2019s aviation regulator, the DGCA, which is monitoring developments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air India has not disclosed the total number of passengers and crew on the affected flight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DGCA Cracks Down on Air India<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In a related development, the DGCA has taken serious enforcement action against Air India over broader systemic issues concerning crew management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Citing repeated violations in pilot scheduling and oversight, the regulator has warned that future infractions may lead to suspension or cancellation of the airline\u2019s operating license.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
