The airline plans to connect Santa Cruz de la Sierra (VVI) to <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=Washington\">Washington D.C.<\/a> in 2025. The airline plans to operate the route twice weekly. This marks a long-anticipated move to expand its presence in North America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The specific launch dates and final route information are still to be confirmed. Initial applications for service to the U.S. capital were made years ago, but the route never came to fruition\u2014until now. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2025, the airline appears to be finally moving ahead with the long-held ambition. With groundwork reportedly underway, this new link will expand the airline\u2019s route map. The route will foster closer ties between Bolivia and one of the world\u2019s most influential cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a considerable number of Bolivians living in or near Washington. The airline operates its main hub at <strong>Jorge Wilstermann International Airport<\/strong> in Cochabamba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The airline now operates flights to major South American cities as well as intercontinental destinations such as Miami and Madrid. It\u2019s also home to a growing number of Bolivians, particularly in the surrounding states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2024, BoA carried over <strong>4.29\u202fmillion passengers<\/strong>, serving over 22 destinations, with top international markets including S\u00e3o Paulo, Buenos Aires, and Madrid. These carriers already offer connecting services between the U.S. and Bolivia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, BoA has, at times, received mixed reviews from passengers regarding punctuality and customer service. The airline will need to improve these issues to win over North American travelers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nonetheless, BoA brings unique strengths to the table. The airline is known for its <strong>affordable fares<\/strong>, <strong>generous baggage allowances<\/strong>, and a <strong>family-friendly<\/strong> service model. Many of its long-haul flights allow passengers to check in up to <strong>three 25kg suitcases<\/strong>. This is a major draw for long-distance travelers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With BoA\u2019s typical long-haul setup, one can expect two-class service with a comfortable cabin layout.
