PARIS-<\/strong> Dassault Aviation (DA)<\/a> and Reliance Aerostructure Limited (RAL)<\/a> have announced a major aerospace manufacturing partnership. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Falcon 2000 LXS business jets will now be assembled in India at a dedicated facility, Dassault Reliance Aerospace Limited (DRAL), marking the first such production line outside France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This historic move was revealed during the Paris Air Show<\/a> and aligns with India\u2019s growing role in the global aerospace supply chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The final assembly line at MIHAN, Nagpur, will be operational by 2028, helping India enter the elite group of nations producing executive jets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dassault Reliance to Build Private Jets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This agreement marks the first time Dassault Aviation will produce its Falcon series outside of France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new final assembly line in India underscores a strategic shift and elevates India to a key aerospace manufacturing hub alongside the US, France, Brazil, and Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The DRAL facility will be the first Center of Excellence (CoE) for Falcon jets outside France, initially focusing on the Falcon 2000 LXS<\/a> and expanding to include the Falcon 6X<\/a> and 8X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collaboration between Dassault and Reliance aligns with India\u2019s \u201cMake in India<\/a>\u201d and \u201cAtmanirbhar Bharat\u201d vision, promoting domestic high-precision engineering and manufacturing for global supply chains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The facility in Nagpur will handle full fuselage and wing assembly, with Dassault transferring major structural integration capabilities, including front fuselage work on Falcon 8X<\/a> and 6X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strategic Vision<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Eric Trappier, Chairman and CEO of Dassault Aviation, highlighted this move as a demonstration of the company\u2019s long-term commitment to India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to him, the DRAL facility reflects the shared vision between Dassault and Reliance to create a world-class aerospace hub in India. He emphasized the strategic importance of the final assembly line and its role in Dassault\u2019s global roadmap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anil D. Ambani, Founder Chairman of the Reliance Group, called the collaboration a \u201cdefining moment\u201d for India\u2019s aviation sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He reiterated its importance in realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s vision of making India self-reliant in critical industries, especially aviation and defense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Impact on Aviation Ecosystem<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The DRAL plant, originally established in 2017, began operations by producing front sections of Falcon 2000 jets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2019, it has delivered over 100 such components, demonstrating world-class manufacturing precision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new upgrades will expand DRAL\u2019s capacity, introduce advanced tooling, and increase employment with the recruitment of hundreds of engineers and technicians over the next decade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By 2028, the \u201cMade in India\u201d Falcon 2000 jets will take flight, directly competing in international markets. This long-term initiative also aims to embed Indian engineering in Dassault\u2019s global product lifecycle, enhancing skill development and innovation in India’s aerospace sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
