DUBAI-<\/strong> Emirates (EK)<\/a> made its highly anticipated return to the Paris Airshow<\/a> on June 17, 2025, marking the world’s largest international airline’s first participation in over 15 years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The carrier showcased its newest Airbus A350<\/a> aircraft at Le Bourget (LBG)<\/a>, France, during the 55th edition of the International Paris Airshow, which runs until June 19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline positioned its A350 as the centrepiece <\/strong>of its exhibition, featuring next-generation cabin design and cutting-edge interior technologies. The displayed aircraft accommodates passengers across 3 cabin classes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This includes 32 next-generation Business Class<\/a> lie-flat seats configured in a 1-2-1 layout, 21 Premium Economy<\/a> seats, and 259 generously pitched Economy Class <\/a>seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visitors experienced Emirates’ enhanced cabin offerings, including increased storage space, extra-high ceilings, and wider aisles throughout all travel classes. The aircraft demonstrates the airline’s latest in-flight entertainment system, providing cinematic viewing experiences alongside enhanced cabin lighting, faster Wi-Fi connectivity, and improved seat ergonomics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sir Tim Clark<\/a>, President of Emirates Airline, emphasised the significance of the airline’s return to France’s premier aerospace exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clark stated that participating in the Paris Air Show demonstrates Emirates’ commitment to supporting France’s aviation industry through daily operations and ongoing investments across the aerospace supply chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

French Route Operations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Emirates (EK) currently operates extensive services to France, maintaining 21 weekly flights to Paris (CDG)<\/a>, including 3 daily Airbus A380<\/a> services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline provides daily A380 service to Nice (NCE) and daily A350 flights to Lyon (LYS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emirates (EK) holds the distinction of being the first and only international airline operating A380 aircraft to Nice C\u00f4te d’Azur Airport (NCE).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emirates has invested significantly in France’s aviation sector over the past three decades, since beginning operations in 1985.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline has committed over \u20ac114 billion (US$130 billion)<\/strong> to purchase 254 Airbus aircraft, including A300<\/strong>, A310<\/a>, A330<\/a>, A340-300<\/a>, A340-500<\/a>, A380<\/strong>, and A350 <\/strong>models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recent Contracts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In 2023, Emirates (EK) announced substantial contracts with French suppliers worth over \u20ac1.0 billion (US$1.14 billion) combined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agreements include a \u20ac896 million (US$1.0 billion) contract for Safran Seats covering Emirates’ new Airbus A350, Boeing 777X-9<\/a>, and existing Boeing 777-300ER<\/a> aircraft fleets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, the airline invested over \u20ac322 million (US$367.5 million) in Thales’ AVANT Up system for its A350 aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emirates (EK) maintains strategic partnerships with French manufacturers, sourcing Michelin tires, Safran aircraft components and seating systems, and Thales avionics equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline’s procurement extends to specialised products, with France serving as Emirates’ top global source for wine procurement. Bordeaux wine<\/strong> comprises 58% of red wine consumed in Emirates’ First and Business Class cabins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Future Plans<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Emirates (EK) contributes over \u20ac189 million (US$215 million) annually to the French economy through operational expenditures. This includes fuel purchases, overflight charges, catering services, landing fees, crew accommodations, and advertising investments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emirates SkyCargo<\/a> operates weekly cargo rotations connecting Dubai World Central<\/strong>, Paris Charles de Gaulle<\/a>, and Lyon Saint-Exupery airports<\/strong>. It supports trade between the UAE <\/a>and France, which represents France’s largest Middle Eastern export partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline expects its A350 fleet to serve 17 destinations by year-end, having welcomed seven A350 aircraft, with 58 additional units scheduled for delivery over the coming years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
