Kansai Airport Terminal Opening

Kansai International Airport (KIX) has completed a major expansion of its international passenger facilities, marking the first large-scale renewal of the airport since it opened in 1994.

The final phase of the refurbished Kansai Airport (KIX) Terminal 1 opened on March 27, 2025 to handle visitors for the World Expo in Osaka.
