SINGAPORE— Singapore Airlines (SQ) will offer significantly fewer First Class seats on its Singapore-Jakarta route during the 2026/27 northern winter, with only two of its nine daily services scheduled to operate the premium cabin.
The reduction will leave Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) and Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) connected by just two daily Boeing 777-300ER rotations featuring the airline’s First Class cabin.
The new schedule will run from October 25, 2026, through March 27, 2027, and represents a 50% reduction in First Class-equipped flights compared with the previous winter season.
Singapore Airlines operated four daily First Class rotations during both the 2024/25 and 2025/26 northern winters, giving passengers 16 First Class seats in each direction every day.

Singapore-Jakarta Schedule
The two First Class-equipped services will be SQ950 and SQ964 from Singapore to Jakarta, with SQ953 and SQ965 operating the corresponding return flights.
Both rotations will use Singapore Airlines’ Boeing 777-300ER, while the remaining seven daily services will be operated by Airbus A350 aircraft without a First Class cabin.
SQ950 will leave Singapore at 6:50 a.m. and reach Jakarta at 7:35 a.m., while SQ964 will depart at 5:20 p.m. and arrive at 6:10 p.m.
The return schedule places SQ953 at 8:40 a.m. from Jakarta, arriving in Singapore at 11:20 a.m., followed by SQ965 at 7:10 p.m., arriving at 9:55 p.m.
The schedule gives travelers two distinct windows for booking First Class between the two cities. The morning option is particularly useful for passengers who need to reach Jakarta early, while the evening service provides an alternative for travelers seeking a later departure from Singapore.
The current arrangement also creates the possibility of a same-day First Class return. A passenger can depart Singapore on SQ950 and return from Jakarta on SQ965, allowing more than 11 hours in the Indonesian capital before heading back to Singapore.
The two Boeing 777-300ER rotations are also the only services on the route that retain Singapore Airlines’ 2013 First Class product.
The cabin contains four First Class seats in a 1-2-1 configuration, meaning each flight contributes four premium seats to the daily schedule.
That gives the Singapore-Jakarta market eight First Class seats per day in each direction during the coming winter. Singapore Airlines’ official schedule also confirms that SQ950 and SQ964 will operate with First Class between October 25, 2026, and March 27, 2027, Mainly Miles flagged.

Singapore Cuts First Class Capacity
The reduction is particularly notable because Singapore Airlines had increased First Class availability on the Jakarta route during the previous two northern winters.
Four of the nine daily services carried the premium cabin during winter 2024/25 and again during winter 2025/26, doubling the number available during the corresponding summer schedules.
The 2026/27 winter schedule therefore breaks that recent seasonal pattern. Only two of nine daily Jakarta services will feature First Class, meaning just 22% of the route’s daily flights will offer the cabin.
The change also leaves the route with its lowest First Class share of any northern winter season in the historical comparison provided.
Before the pandemic, the availability was considerably higher, with five of nine daily services carrying First Class during winter 2019/20.
At that time, Singapore Airlines’ Boeing 777-300 aircraft carried eight First Class seats each, producing 40 First Class seats per day in each direction. The upcoming winter will provide only eight seats, representing an 80% reduction from the pre-pandemic daily capacity.
Compared with last winter, the immediate reduction is 50%, falling from 16 to eight First Class seats in each direction every day. Over the roughly five-month winter schedule, that translates into about 1,200 fewer First Class seats in each direction.
The change is also important because the Airbus A350s assigned to the other seven daily flights do not provide a First Class cabin.
Passengers therefore cannot simply select another Singapore Airlines service on the same route if they specifically want First Class.
Singapore Airlines has not indicated in the supplied schedule material why it has not repeated the winter increase this year.
The airline has, however, retained the two long-standing First Class rotations, SQ950/SQ953 and SQ964/SQ965, which have remained consistent fixtures on the Jakarta route.

First Class Awards Aboard Singapore Airlines
The reduction in physical seats is likely to be especially relevant to travelers using KrisFlyer miles. Jakarta remains the least expensive Singapore Airlines destination for accessing The Private Room at Changi when traveling in First Class or Suites.
A one-way Saver redemption in First Class or Suites between Singapore and Jakarta costs 32,000 KrisFlyer miles, while the Advantage level rises to 60,500 miles.
Business Class Saver awards cost 22,000 miles, making First Class only 10,000 miles more expensive when Saver availability exists.
The eight-seat daily First Class pool makes Saver availability more difficult to secure, particularly because the cabin now appears on only two of the nine daily flights.
Taxes and fees are charged separately, with the supplied figures putting them at about S$65 from Singapore to Jakarta and approximately S$19 in the opposite direction.
The value proposition is linked closely to the ground experience rather than the short flight itself.
The Singapore-Jakarta sector takes less than two hours, but First Class passengers can access The Private Room at Changi Terminal 3, Singapore Airlines’ most exclusive lounge, before departure or after arrival.
The lounge is particularly significant for award travelers because Jakarta offers the lowest First Class Saver redemption price for access to the facility.
A round trip at the 32,000-mile Saver rate costs 64,000 miles and can provide access to The Private Room at both ends of the journey when the itinerary permits.
Passengers should also remember that aircraft assignments can change. Singapore Airlines has previously introduced temporary First Class increases on other routes, so the Jakarta schedule could still change during the winter season, although there is currently no indication that additional Boeing 777-300ER rotations will be added.
For now, travelers seeking Singapore Airlines First Class between Singapore and Jakarta will have only two daily flight options from October 25.
The reduction makes SQ950, SQ953, SQ964 and SQ965 considerably more important for premium-cabin travelers, while the limited eight-seat daily capacity is likely to make Saver award availability the key challenge throughout the 2026/27 winter season.
