ISTANBUL- Turkish Airlines (TK) has filed additional service changes to the United States for the Northern summer 2026 season. The carrier, which operates from its main hub at Istanbul Airport (IST), will reduce weekly frequencies on several transatlantic routes.
The latest adjustments affect flights from Istanbul (IST) to Atlanta (ATL), New York (JFK), and Seattle (SEA). These changes are reported by AeroRoutes.

Turkish Airlines Trims Frequencies on Three US Routes
Turkish Airlines will lower its weekly capacity on three United States routes during the summer 2026 period. The reductions apply to long-haul services connecting its Istanbul base with major US gateways. Each route sees a small cut in weekly flights rather than a full suspension.
The Istanbul to Atlanta route will operate nine weekly flights instead of ten. This change takes effect on 15 June 2026.
The Istanbul to New York JFK service will see two separate adjustments. Between 16 June 2026 and 15 September 2026, the route drops from 28 to 25 weekly flights. From 16 September 2026 to 24 October 2026, the frequency falls from 24 to 23 weekly flights.
The Istanbul to Seattle route will reduce from ten to nine weekly flights. This adjustment runs from 18 June 2026 through 10 September 2026.

Summary of Schedule Changes

| Route | Effective Period | Previous Weekly | Revised Weekly |

Bottom Line
These updates form part of a recent schedule revision by Turkish Airlines for its North American network. The changes represent incremental capacity adjustments across high-frequency routes.
The New York JFK service remains the carrier’s busiest among the three, even after the reduction, with more than 20 weekly flights in each listed period.
