FRANKFURT— Lufthansa Group (LH) has announced a major connectivity upgrade that will see high-speed Starlink internet installed across its entire fleet, marking one of the most ambitious in-flight digital transformations by a European airline group. The rollout will cover around 850 aircraft operated by all Lufthansa Group airlines, reinforcing the group’s focus on premium passenger experience.
The decision places Lufthansa among the global leaders in onboard connectivity, with aircraft operating from major hubs such as Frankfurt Airport (FRA) expected to benefit early from the upgrade. The group confirmed that the new broadband service will support internet use comparable to ground-based connections, including streaming and cloud-based applications.

Lufthansa Starlink Deal

Lufthansa Group plans to equip both existing aircraft and all future deliveries with the satellite-based system, ensuring consistency across short-haul and long-haul operations.
