LEEDS- Jet2 (LS) has officially announced the launch of year-round flights and holidays to Hurghada (HRG) and Sharm-El-Sheikh (SSH), Egypt, introducing direct Red Sea travel from multiple UK airports.
The expansion includes a limited time promotion offering £100 off per person on all Jet2holidays to Egypt, currently on sale.
The first services begin 11 February 2027, providing travellers with more choice and value from six UK departure points to each Egyptian destination.
This announcement follows strong customer demand for high-quality sunshine breaks with reliable service from Jet2.com and Jet2holidays.
Jet2 to Start Egypt Flights
Jet2 will operate eighteen weekly flights and more than 4,000 arriving seats each week to Egypt. Hurghada will be served from Birmingham, East Midlands, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, London Stansted, and Manchester.
Sharm-El-Sheikh will be served from Birmingham, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Leeds Bradford, London Stansted, and Manchester.
Four routes will be exclusive to Jet2: Leeds Bradford to Hurghada, London Stansted to Hurghada, Edinburgh to Sharm-El-Sheikh, and Leeds Bradford to Sharm-El-Sheikh.
These additions expand Jet2’s growing long-haul programme and reinforce its position as an award-winning tourism provider.

- Birmingham Airport: 2 weekly flights on Tuesday and Saturday from 13 February 2027
- East Midlands Airport: weekly Saturday flights from 13 February 2027

- Leeds Bradford Airport: weekly Sunday flights from 14 February 2027 (exclusive route)
- London Stansted Airport: 2 weekly flights on Monday and Friday from 12 February 2027 (exclusive route)
- Manchester Airport: 2 weekly flights on Wednesday and Sunday from 14 February 2027
Sharm-El-Sheikh
- Birmingham Airport: 2 weekly flights on Monday and Friday from 12 February 2027
- East Midlands Airport: weekly Friday flights from 12 February 2027
- Edinburgh Airport: weekly Tuesday flights from 16 February 2027 (exclusive route)
- Leeds Bradford Airport: weekly Saturday flights from 13 February 2027 (exclusive route)
- London Stansted Airport: 2 weekly flights on Thursday and Sunday from 11 February 2027
- Manchester Airport: 2 weekly flights on Wednesday and Saturday from 13 February 2027
Jet2 Egypt Holiday Programme
Jet2’s decision to introduce Egypt follows years of customer interest in long-haul sunshine destinations with extensive hotel options and warm weather throughout the year.
Travellers can now choose between complete package holidays with Jet2holidays or leisure flights with Jet2.com.

Jet2holidays customers will be able to stay in 3-star and above properties across Hadaba, Nabq Bay, Ras Nasrani, Naama Bay, and Sharks Bay.
The new year-round routes make the destination accessible to UK holidaymakers seeking warm weather and adventure at any time of year.
