SHARJAH- UAE is set to gain a major boost in international connectivity as Air Arabia (G9) confirmed a new non-stop flight route linking Sharjah (SHJ) with London Gatwick (LGW). The airline announced that the service will launch on March 29, 2026, strengthening its presence in a high-demand market and expanding its international gateway options from Sharjah.
The new double-daily flights mark a strategic step in Air Arabia’s network growth. The carrier said the addition of London increases accessibility for travelers between the UAE and the United Kingdom, offering greater schedule flexibility and improved options for passengers.

Air Arabia London Gatwick Flights
Air Arabia will operate two daily flights to London Gatwick using Airbus A321LR aircraft. These aircraft form part of the airline’s all-Airbus A320 and A321 family fleet, known for efficiency and strong operating economics.
The service reinforces the airline’s focus on providing cost-effective, value-driven travel while supporting rising travel and trade flows between both markets.
The flight schedule, effective March 29, includes two departures from Sharjah and two returns from London Gatwick. With mid-day and early-morning flight timings, customers can choose the most convenient option to suit their travel plans.
Air Arabia noted that passengers can book tickets through its website, call center, or authorized travel agents.

Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, said the launch represents a significant milestone in the airline’s growth strategy. He highlighted that London Gatwick expands the carrier’s reach into a key international hub and enhances choice for customers looking for affordable and reliable travel solutions.
He added that the new destination strengthens connectivity from Sharjah while supporting Air Arabia’s long-term vision of expanding access across major global markets. The airline continues to grow its route network as demand for international travel increases.
Jonathan Pollard, Chief Commercial Officer at London Gatwick, said demand for Middle East destinations has risen sharply in recent months. He emphasized that Air Arabia’s arrival comes at a pivotal time for the airport, following government approval for routine use of the Northern Runway.
He noted that the airport looks forward to welcoming Sharjah-bound passengers and building on Gatwick’s growing portfolio of routes.
