MONTREAL- Air Canada (AC) will suspend two transatlantic routes from Montreal Trudeau Airport (YUL) next summer for commercial reasons.
The airline confirmed that flights to Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) and Delhi Indira Gandhi Airport (DEL) will not return as planned.

Air Canada Suspends Two Routes
Air Canada outlined several schedule changes affecting its Montreal hub. Both the Montreal to Tel Aviv and Montreal to Delhi routes had been operating three times weekly on Boeing 787 aircraft, but neither will resume for Summer 2026. These flights were initially expected to restart in May, yet they have now been removed from the schedule.
The Montreal to Delhi route will end on April 28, with service resuming only on October 25. Delhi and Tel Aviv will continue to receive year-round service from Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ), which remains the airline’s primary gateway for these markets.
The carrier stated that affected customers will be offered alternative routing options or refunds. Air Canada reiterated its commitment to the India market, noting that Toronto to Delhi will operate daily next summer.
Montreal to Tel Aviv was originally set to return on May 3, but the route has been withdrawn from the summer schedule. Toronto to Tel Aviv will operate five times weekly, an increase from the winter season.
Air Canada said the revision is intended to give travelers clarity and time to adjust their plans. Customers booked on the canceled Montreal route will be rebooked or refunded as needed, AirlineGeeks reported.

Customer Support Measures
The airline emphasized that the changes were implemented early to reduce uncertainty and ensure travelers have access to alternative arrangements.
Passengers affected by either suspended route will receive support that includes rebooking through other gateways or a full refund.
Consolidating long-haul services to Delhi and Tel Aviv at Toronto allows Air Canada to optimize aircraft utilization and maintain consistent connectivity in both markets.
Toronto continues to serve as the airline’s largest global hub, allowing for year-round schedules that Montreal cannot sustain during the upcoming season.
