DELHI- Canadian flag carrier, Air Canada (AC) has announced a significant capacity increase on its Calgary (YYC)-London Heathrow (LHR)-Delhi (DEL) route for the first quarter of 2025.
The Star Alliance member will deploy a 400-seat Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on this route from January 9 to February 26, 2025, replacing the previously used Boeing 787-9, Aeroroutes reported.

The upgraded service, operating as flight AC850, will depart Calgary at 17:30, arriving in London Heathrow at 09:20 the next day. The flight will continue to Delhi, departing at 12:00 and arriving at 02:45 the following day.
The return flight, AC851, will leave Delhi at 06:20, reach London at 11:20, and arrive in Calgary at 15:45.
This capacity boost is part of Air Canada’s broader winter strategy, offering 25 weekly flights between Canada and India. The airline will provide 7,400 seats per week, representing a 40% increase in seat capacity to India during the winter schedule from late October to late March.
The expanded service includes up to 11 weekly flights from Toronto (YYZ) to Delhi and Mumbai (BOM), daily flights from Montreal (YUL) to Delhi, and daily flights to Delhi from Western Canada via London Heathrow.
Air Canada will operate the Toronto-Mumbai non-stop flight using Boeing 777-200LR aircraft.

Air Canada will introduce a new daily flight connecting London Heathrow (LHR) and Delhi (DEL) starting October 27, 2024. The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner will operate this route, offering advanced technology, fuel efficiency, and superior passenger comfort.
