BRUSSELS- Today (May 13, 2024) at Brussels Airport (BRU), the Lufthansa Group conveyed a resounding message advocating for a robust Europe.
Four specially liveried Airbus A320s from Lufthansa Airlines (LH), Austrian Airlines (OS), Brussels Airlines (SN), and Eurowings (EW) convened simultaneously, adorned with the striking slogan ‘Yes to Europe’ and the emblem of the European circle of stars on their fuselage sides. This unified initiative ahead of the upcoming European elections aims to prompt individuals to take a stance and fortify democracy.

Approximately 100 guests, including President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola and Belgium’s Prime Minister Alexander De Croo, congregated at Brussels Airport to mark the occasion. Both Metsola and De Croo voiced their support for a resilient and liberated Europe.
Carsten Spohr, CEO of the Lufthansa Group, emphasized, “Soon, millions of citizens will have the opportunity to shape the future of the European Union. All of us must exercise our voting rights in the European elections to advocate for democracy and a cohesive, free continent. This forms the foundation for a robust community and a thriving economy.”
These four specially liveried Lufthansa Group Airbus A320s, featuring the ‘Yes to Europe’ slogan, have been traversing the European continent for several weeks, serving as airborne ambassadors of the European vision in the lead-up to the European elections.
As a European airline consortium, the Lufthansa Group aims to encourage voter participation in these elections and to unequivocally endorse a resilient Europe.
The European Parliament election is scheduled to occur between June 6 and 9, 2024.
