DELHI- Tata-owned Air India (AI) official website now shows the first International route for Airbus A350, which is Delhi (DEL) to Dubai (DXB) starting from May 1, 2024.
This is the first time that Air India’s A350 will operate the scheduled International flights. So far, the Gurugram-based carrier has taken delivery of four A350s, and it deploys them in the domestic sector.
Air India A350 on Delhi-Dubai
The official website airindia.com also offers special fares for its international A350 flight. The airline says,
‘Welcome aboard Air India’s inaugural flight of the Airbus A350-900, featuring a striking new livery and opulent in-flight amenities. Select from Business, Premium Economy, or Economy Class and become one of the pioneering passengers who enjoy India’s highly anticipated aircraft. Fares starting from ₹5,923*.’
Experience international A350 flights:
- Booking Period: April 16, 2024, to August 31, 2024
- Travel Period: May 1, 2024, to September 1, 2024
This allegedly means Air India will deploy A350 on the Delhi-Dubai route from May 1 to September 1, 2024.
Air India operates 4 daily flights (on some day 5) on the Delhi-Dubai route. Three of these flights are served by Boeing 787 Dreamliner and one with Airbus A321. The airline plans to replace one of the 787 flights with A350.

- To contribute Dh90 billion to the GDP, marking an approximately 84% rise from Dh49 billion in 2023.
- To generate 178,000 new job opportunities, bringing the total to approximately 366,000.
- Plans to expand the number of hotel rooms to 52,000, reflecting a 53% increase from the 34,000 available in 2023.
- To welcome 7.2 million international visitors, indicating an almost 90% surge from the 3.8 million received in 2023.
- To achieve 3.9 international overnight hotel stays, a 22% increase from the 3.2 nights recorded in 2023.
Following this, Air India and IndiGo have been increasing and adding more flights to Abu Dhabi (AUH). The time is right to deploy high-capacity aircraft on these popular routes.
