MONTREAL- Air Canada (AC) is poised to transform travel between Canada and Singapore by introducing the inaugural direct flight route from Vancouver to Singapore this week.
The launch of this service was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) on Tuesday, April 2, symbolizing the commencement of operations at Singapore’s Changi International Airport (SIN).
Air Canada New Flight Route
The exclusive non-stop flight service linking Canada and Singapore is a standout option, offering flights four times weekly. Departures from Vancouver are set for Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, while departures from Singapore are scheduled for Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.
This strategic scheduling aims to provide seamless connections for travelers from Vancouver throughout North America and from Singapore to key destinations across Southeast Asia, South India, and Western Australia, thanks to Air Canada’s partnership with Star Alliance and its codeshare arrangement with Singapore Airlines (SQ).
Operated by the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, this service ensures a top-notch flying experience across three cabin classes: Signature Class featuring lie-flat seats, Premium Economy, and Economy Class.
Changi International Airport (SIN), renowned for its efficient customs processing, consistently earns recognition as the world’s best airport, further enhancing the appeal of this new direct flight for global travelers.
Competitively Priced Vancouver-Singapore Flights
The pricing structure for this innovative direct service is impressively competitive, commencing at less than $1,500, positioning it as one of the most cost-effective choices for travel between Vancouver and Singapore.
While the least expensive tickets typically start at over $1,300, with a handful of options around $1,200 in October, Air Canada’s direct flights eliminate the inconvenience of layovers commonly found in other similarly priced budget options.
The airline’s most budget-friendly fares are observed in September, although reasonably priced choices are accessible throughout the year.
For instance, a round-trip journey departing on September 11 and returning on September 24 is available for $1,467, presenting a notable saving of $664 compared to standard rates.
