DUBAI- Emirates (EK) is set to reinstate its daily service to Phnom Penh (PNH) starting from May 1, with a layover in Singapore (SIN).
This move aims to enhance the airline’s connectivity between Dubai (DXB) and various Southeast Asian destinations, facilitating travel and linking two prominent regional trade and leisure hubs.
Emirates Phnom Penh Flights
Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates, expressed the airline’s commitment to strengthening its Southeast Asian network. The resumption of Phnom Penh services aligns with Emirates’ goal of providing diverse travel opportunities and fostering stronger trade connections for businesses and exporters.
The airline extends its gratitude to the Cambodian and Singaporean authorities for their support in establishing this new route, anticipating the reintroduction of customers to another vibrant destination in its network.
The upcoming service will utilize a three-class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
Commencing with flight EK348, the departure from Dubai is scheduled at 02:30 hrs, reaching Singapore at 14:05 hrs. The subsequent leg will leave Singapore at 15:35 hrs, reaching Phnom Penh at 16:35 hrs. For the return journey, flight EK349 will depart Phnom Penh at 20:50 hrs and arrive in Singapore at 23:50 hrs. The final segment will leave Singapore at 01:40 hrs the following day, with arrival in Dubai at 04:55 hrs. All times are local.
The coordinated schedule between Phnom Penh and Singapore is strategically timed, offering optimal connections to and from various cities in France, the UK, Germany, Switzerland, and the United States. With this additional connection, Emirates will operate four daily flights to Singapore starting May 1.
Emirates SkyCargo will provide cargo bellyhold capacity on the Boeing 777-300ER, exceeding 300 tonnes per week for Phnom Penh. Key exported commodities from Phnom Penh encompass textiles, pharmaceuticals, and various high-value goods.
Cambodia’s Significance in Southeast Asia
Emirates’ new services will feature 8 private suites in First Class, 42 lie-flat seats in Business Class, and 310 spacious seats in Economy Class. Passengers can enjoy the airline’s renowned service and top-notch amenities across all classes.
This includes regionally-inspired cuisine, complimentary beverages, and access to the ice-inflight entertainment system, offering a vast selection of over 6,500 channels in more than 40 languages. The entertainment options span movies, TV shows, a rich musical library, games, audiobooks, and podcasts.
Situated in Cambodia’s south-central region, Phnom Penh serves as the nation’s economic, industrial, and cultural hub, experiencing substantial growth in infrastructure and economy.
Recognized as a prominent Southeast Asian destination for tourism and trade, Phnom Penh holds particular allure for travelers from Europe and the Americas. Currently, the city is in the process of constructing a new international airport, set to commence operations in 2025, replacing the existing Phnom Penh International Airport and enhancing Cambodia’s global connectivity.
Phnom Penh is renowned for its heritage sites and tourist attractions, including the Royal Palace with the Silver Pagoda and the National Museum.
Emirates will facilitate convenient travel to the world-famous Angkor Wat temple complex near Siem Reap through its daily services to Phnom Penh and the unilateral agreement with Cambodia Air.
