TOKYO- The ANA (NH) and the Italian national carrier, ITA Airways (AZ), recently launched a codeshare partnership to link their networks.
This exciting collaboration opens up many travel options for customers of both airlines. Passengers will enjoy improved connectivity through the hubs of Rome Fiumicino and Tokyo Haneda.
ANA and ITA Codeshare Partnership
Starting January 24th, thanks to this agreement, travelers with All Nippon Airways and ITA Airways can seamlessly reach their destinations using a single ticket.
They can check in at the departure airport and retrieve their checked baggage at the final destination airport. The tickets for this convenient arrangement will be available for purchase starting January 17th.
All Nippon Airways will utilize its “NH” code on ITA Airways’ flights connecting Haneda and Rome, along with five Italian destinations linked to Rome Fiumicino Airport (Bologna, Venice, Turin, Florence, Naples).
Simultaneously, ITA Airways will incorporate its “AZ” code on six domestic Japanese destinations (Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Itami, Kansai, Okinawa, and Sapporo). ANA and ITA are contemplating expanding this collaboration by introducing additional codes in the near future.
This collaborative effort aims to strengthen economic and commercial ties between Italy and Japan.
It will also provide Italian tourists with the chance to explore the wonders of Japan while offering Japanese citizens easy access to Italy, all while ensuring the highest standards of safety.
