FORT WORTH- Envoy Air (MQ), the regional subsidiary of American Airlines (AA), is excited to share that it will be expanding its fleet by adding 19 large Embraer Regional Jet aircraft. Deliveries for these eight Embraer 175 and eleven Embraer 170 aircraft are set to commence later this year.
This addition comes on the heels of previous fleet announcements in 2023, which included six E175s in March, seven E175s and five E170s in June, and four E175s in October.
American Airlines Envoy to Add More Embraer Jets
With today’s announcement, Envoy’s total fleet commitment now stands at 169 aircraft, comprising 126 E175s and 43 E170s.
Envoy President & CEO, Pedro Fábregas, emphasized that the current success, characterized by a measured and sustainable growth, is a direct result of Envoy’s steadfast commitment to safety, quality, and cost.
Fábregas highlighted that these three principles are integral to all aspects of their operations, allowing them to deliver secure, high-performance, and cost-efficient regional services to thousands of daily customers.
This commitment extends to benefit American Airlines Group and its shareholders, as well as the more than 19,700 Envoy employees across the Pacific, North America, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean.
Successful Transition to E170 Family
May 2023 marked a significant milestone for the American subsidiary as Envoy Air completed its transition from the ERJ145 to the E170 family jet. The airline bid farewell to the ERJ145, concluding 25 years of exceptional service with the aircraft.
This transition reflects Envoy Air’s commitment to modernizing its fleet. Further providing enhanced services to its passengers.
