DOHA- This week, Qatar Airways (QR) made incremental updates to its scheduled operations for the Northern summer of 2024, with the changes set to take effect on March 31, 2024.
According to Flight Connections, as of December 2023, the Oneworld alliance member carrier operates flights to one domestic destination and 176 international destinations across 80 countries.
Qatar Airways 2024 Schedule
The most recent adjustments were identified through a schedule comparison between December 10, 2023, and December 16, 2023.
- Doha – Accra – Abidjan: Frequency reduced from 5 to 4 weekly, operated by a 787-8.
- Doha – Algiers: Starting March 31, 2024, a daily service will be provided using a 777-300ER instead of the previously planned 787-8. (Currently scheduled with A330 in NW23)
- Doha – Ankara: Frequency reduced from the previously scheduled 7 weekly to 5, with an A320 operating.
- Doha – Athens: Effective May 1, 2024, an increase from 2 to 3 daily flights. QR211/212 will be operated by an A320 (Note: QR211/212 will reduce to 4 weekly from October 1, 2024)
- Doha – Baku: Maintaining 11 weekly 737 MAX 8 services instead of the initially planned 7 weekly A320. A 12th weekly flight is scheduled for June 1, 2024, to August 31, 2024.
- Doha – Bangkok Suvarnabhumi: A planned reduction in A380 service from 2 to 1 daily, effective March 31, 2024, remains unchanged. The 5th daily service is maintained in NS24.
- Doha – Bodrum: Seasonal service reduced from 5 to 3 weekly, utilizing an A320 from May 31, 2024, to August 17, 2024.
- Doha – Cape Town: Frequency reduced from 10 to 7 weekly, with A350-900XWB aircraft, effective May 11, 2024.
- Doha – Cebu – Davao – Doha: Frequency reduced during selected periods:
- April 15, 2024, to May 31, 2024: 4 weekly flights
- September 1, 2024, to October 26, 2024: 3 weekly flights
- Doha – Clark: Frequency reduced from 7 weekly to the following during selected periods:
- April 16, 2024, to May 30, 2024: 5 weekly flights
- September 3, 2024, to October 26, 2024: 4 weekly flights

- Doha – Dublin: Maintaining 2 daily services with the 787-9 replacing the previously planned 787-8.
- Doha – Dusseldorf: Reducing frequency from 14 to 11 weekly, operated by the 787-9.
- Doha – Entebbe: Offering 1 daily service with the 787-8 scheduled for the entire season, adjusting from the previous plan of 5 weekly (7 in Jul/Aug 2024).
- Doha – Erbil: Reducing from 14 to 11 weekly during specific periods (Mar 31 – May 30, 2024, and Sep 01 – Oct 26, 2024) with A320 aircraft operating.
- Doha – Frankfurt: From May 3 to May 31, 2024, QR071/072 will reduce from 7 to 4 weekly, resulting in an overall reduction from 21 to 18 weekly flights.
- Doha – Gassim: The frequency is decreasing from previously filed 7 weekly to 5, using A320 aircraft.
- Doha – Hanoi: Replacing QR982/983’s 787-8 with the A350-900XWB from Mar 31 to Aug 30, 2024, and with a 787-9 from Aug 31, 2024. QR976/977 will switch to an A350-900XWB from May 1 to Jun 30, 2024, and a 777-300ER from Jul 1, 2024.
- Doha – Hong Kong: From Mar 31, 2024, QR816/815 will be operated by a 777-300ER instead of a 787-8, maintaining 2 daily 777-300ER services.
- Doha – Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen: Increasing from 14 to 18 weekly flights from June 1 to August 31, 2024, using A320 aircraft.
- Doha – Kathmandu: Removing the previously filed 4th daily flight, effective Mar 31, 2024.
- Doha – Kuala Lumpur: Resuming the 2nd daily service with a 777-300ER from Mar 31, 2024 (QR852/853 was suspended from Mar 10 to Mar 30, 2024).
- Doha – London Gatwick: Maintaining the 2nd daily service with the 787-8 from Mar 31, 2024.
- Doha – Los Angeles: Increasing from 10 to 14 weekly flights from Jul 1 to Aug 31, 2024, operating 2 daily A350-1000XWB flights.
- Doha – Lusaka – Harare: From Jun 3 to Sep 1, 2024, increasing frequency from 5 to 7 weekly, using a 787-8.
- Doha – Moscow Sheremetyevo: Reducing from previously filed 12 weekly to 11 weekly (1 daily 787-8 and 4 weekly A330-200) from Mar 31, 2024.
