CINCINNATI- GE Aerospace revealed a TrueChoice services agreement today, marking a collaboration with China Airlines (CI) to support their CF6-powered Boeing 747-400F aircraft.
Under this extensive service agreement, China Airlines opts for GE’s OEM solution for high-pressure compressor airfoils. During shop visits, GE will oversee repairing and replacing these components for the CF6-80C engines.

We are privileged that China Airlines has entrusted us to provide OEM solutions for their CF6 engine fleet,” stated Russell Stokes, President and CEO of Commercial Engines and Services for GE Aerospace.
“Our objective is to deliver competitive and cost-effective solutions to support our customers consistently. We leverage over 475 million flight hours of experience with our CF6 engines to enhance the product and prolong the time on the wing.
China Airlines, a prominent carrier based in Taiwan, has been a valued customer of GE Aerospace since 1999, when it initially acquired 13 GE CF6-80C2-powered Boeing 747-400F aircraft.
The airline presently manages a fleet of 83 aircraft, including 14 747-400F units powered by GE CF6-80C engines.

As stated by China Airlines, “The CF6-80C2 engine plays a crucial role in our operations. This service agreement allows us to ensure that we maintain the highest performance and reliability standards to meet the needs of our customers.”
