A pilot threatened to return the plane to its gate at the airport over someone sending nudes via AirDrop, according to a video posted late last week on TikTok.

The pilot can be heard on the intercom threatening to cancel the flight to Mexico over the problem in the viral video that appears to have been recorded by a passenger. The user @teighmars posted a video with text overlaid that purportedly identifies the flight as being operated by Southwest Airlines.
The video captured what the pilot said
“So here’s the deal, I’m going to have to drive back to the gate if this keeps happening while we’re on the ground. Everyone will have to disembark. We’ll need to involve security, and the trip will be ruined as a result. Therefore, stop sending pictures of yourself in your underwear via AirDrop and let’s all head to Cabo instead.”
It is possible to send and receive photos, videos, and other types of content to and from nearby iPhones, iPads, and iPad Touch devices using the AirDrop feature on Apple devices.
According to The Associated Press, sending inappropriate sexual images to another person via AirDrop or another electronic method is known as “cyberflashing.”
Southwest Airlines issued a statement to FOX Business stating that “the safety, security, and wellbeing of Customers and Employees is the Southwest Team’s highest priority at all times. Our Employees address issues to support the comfort of those travelling with us when made aware of a potential problem.”
There have reportedly been incidents involving messages or photos being AirDropped to passengers’ devices on other airline flights in recent months.

At the time of publication, the TikTok video had amassed over 2.3 million views and 108,000 likes.
