Abdul Rehman, a former engineering student with roots in Afghanistan’s Logar province and the son of a merchant who frequently visited New Delhi on business, was freed from Bagram prison on 15 August

The Islamic State – Khorasan aka ISIS-Khorasan, ISKP, or IS-K which was behind the bloody blast that rocked the Afghan capital last month during the chaotic evacuation means has shed more light on the cowardly attack.
- In the latest issue of Voice of Hind, the propaganda magazine of the terror outfit IS-K has claimed that the attacker, identified as Abdur Rahman al-Logri was once arrested in Delhi.
“By the grace of Allah, a soldier of the Khilafah, Abdur Rahman al-Logri, carried out an istishadhi (suicide attack) operation.
Arrested five years ago in India

- The brother was arrested five years ago in India when he had traveled to Delhi to carry out an istishadhi operation on the cow-worshipping Hindus in revenge for Kashmir.”
“But Allah had decreed otherwise, the brother was tested with imprisonment and was deported to Afghanistan.
- Staying true to his promise to Allah, the brother didn’t go back, rather carried out his plan, his heart filled with tranquility and pleasure,” it said.

Though the exact details about his arrest are unclear, it is reported that al-Logri was arrested by the intelligence agencies in 2016 when he was posing as a student at an educational institute in the Delhi-Haryana border.
He was reportedly making IEDs carry out a suicide attack in Delhi when al-Logri was arrested by the agencies who zeroed in on him based on intercepted communication inputs.
