An Indian low-cost airline IndiGo signs a lease agreement for five new ATR72-600 turboprops with the United Kingdom-based lessor company Falko Regional Aircraft.
The five aircraft will be delivered to the airline by the end of 2021, the lessor said in a statement.
Once the aircraft are delivered, the IndiGo fleet will consist of 248 aircraft, 36 out of which ATR72 planes, the Planespotters.com data indicates.
The chief commercial officer of Falko, Mark Hughes, said that the lessor company continues to see a strong potential for regional aircraft purchases globally.

In August 2021, IndiGo received an ATR 72-600 turboprop leased from the German leasing company GOAL. The lease agreement is made for an eight-year term.
