US and Ireland-based aircraft lessor Griffin Global Asset Management, better known as Griffin, placed its first direct order with Boeing for five new Boeing 737 MAX 8 jets on September 1, 2021.
The Boeing 737 MAX 8 has a capacity for 189 passengers and is capable of flying 3,550 nautical miles (6574.6 kilometers).

“As market conditions rebound, we are finding opportunities to serve our airline customers in innovative ways. An important component of this strategy is providing balanced capacity that meets returning passenger demand,” said Ryan McKenna, the CEO of Griffin.
