- This jet is primarily used by airlines, cargo carriers, and national governments which is one of the few privately owned 747-8i aircraft.
What makes B747-8i special?
Being a dual-leveled jumbo jet, it takes private flying to the next level. The flying palace is capable of roaming at different time belts with an in securing height in the travel luxury.
The Boeing Business Jet product aircraft consists of VIP-configured variants of existing aircraft. Each Boeing aircraft today in production has its own BBJ variant. It ranges from the smallest Boeing 737 to the largest 747.

In the US, the Air Force is currently re-building a 747-8i BBJ for use by the President of the United States as a replacement aircraft for the current Air Force One. The Air Force is one of the largest users of Boeing Business Jets. After conversion, they are used by the military to transport the country’s top officials.
The Aircraft
The very famous French interior design firm Cabinet Alberto Pinto had created the interior of one BBJ 747-8i. And, purchased it for private use by a Middle Eastern businessman.
Let us finally take a look inside the BBJ 747-8i. The largest aircraft project taken on by Boeing.
The Boeing 747-8i is the largest corporate aircraft designed by Cabinet Alberto Pinto.
- It stretches for over 250 feet from nose to tail.
- It is a dual-level project.
- The passenger capacity of the plane is over 400 in general airline configuration.
It’s difficult to tell that you’re on board an airliner and not inside some palace complete with all kinds of luxury when you get in.
Interior & configuration
The aircraft’s interior consists of ornate suites, staterooms, lounges, dining rooms, passenger seating areas, and bathrooms, simply a home in the air.
The bedrooms
The master bedroom has been built in the nose of the aircraft.
- It is located directly under the cockpit.
- It occupies the very front of the fuselage.
- The nose is the most private section of any aircraft.
- Also, it saves the quietest point since it’s away from the engines.

The primary bathroom features a walk-in shower. It also has a single vanity compiling of a full mirror and sink.
The aircraft is made ideal for long-haul flights.
Its inbuilt shower allows the aircraft’s owner to fly across the world. And, along, still, be able to put inn straight from the plane to meetings.
~ Very few aircraft include a shower. The amenity resides as a key marketing point for Boeing and Airbus’ private jets.
As per designer Yves Pickardt’s accordance, in an interview- the idea was to furnish the aircraft with a “soft modern style.”

Pickardt was provided with a “carte blanche” by the owner. He wasn’t keen on any bright and gaudy materials and preferred a simple style with a feeling like home.

“(The owner) wasn’t looking for anything outrageously luxurious, with gold and diamonds. On the contrary, he called for some simplicity, which in the end is indeed the true luxury,” recalled Pickardt in an exclusive interview.

Guest Bedrooms
Another guest bedroom can be located on the jumbo jet with no shortage of space. A good thank you to its long and wide fuselage. As it was initially designed for airlines to carry the maximum passengers possible.

Foyer & the Upper deck of the gigantic plane
The aircraft foyer bridges the master bedroom from the rest of the aircraft. And, is also home to the staircase leading to the upper deck.

The B747’s iconic hump on this plane is a living room complete with bookshelves.
In addition to it includes a high-definition flatscreen television.
Behind this beautiful corner, lies the children’s play area and crew quarters. The -8i features the largest upper deck of any 747.

Coming again downstairs, the couches also line up to the sidewalls of the aircraft.
- This offers additional seating capacity for extra people whether it be support staff, security, etc.

Private office spaces and dining areas are creamed with recliner leather chairs. And, entertainment systems can be found in nearly all pockets throughout the cavernous aircraft.
The central area of the jet hampers the salon on the main floor with three couches, a coffee table, and vaulted ceilings.
