          Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) Course is mainly related to maintenance and repair of aircrafts. Candidate requires a lot of passion and skills to do AME Course.

          • The average salary for an AME is ₹6,73,200 per year (₹56,100 per month). Which is ₹2,85,700 (+74% higher than the national average salary in India).
          • Also Maintenance Engineer can expect an average starting salary of ₹1,10,300.
          • The highest salaries can exceed ₹20,00,000.

          • An Entry Level Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
            • with less than three years of experience can expect to earn an average total compensation of ₹1,15,600.
          • A Mid career Maintenance Engineer
            • with 4-9 years of experience generally earns an average total compensation of ₹6,32,400
          • A Senior Maintenance Engineer (AME)
            • with 10-20 years of experience makes on average ₹12,38,700.

          Scope

          As well as the future of AME is a great phase in the aviation industry. There is already a shortage of AME in the World. There is a requirement of 7,54,000 licensed AME worldwide as the license is valid worldwide, so AME from any Institutes can do a job in India and abroad.

          UDAN Scheme

          The UDAN scheme is giving a boost to AME career.

          UDAN Scheme makes airfare affordable for common people to travel through. However the drastic increase in domestic passenger can be seen which result in rise in AME career.

          The growth rate of air passenger is around 25% which leads to the requirement of new aircrafts. Many airlines ordered 1080 aircrafts which build job opportunities for AME. Boeing and Airbus are also going to set up their MRO Organisation in different states of India which builds thousands of jobs for AME.

          Moreover India in the race to become the 3rd largest in the aviation sector which is a great achievement for a country.

          Moreover India comprises of very hardworking and passionate person who can make India proud. The career opportunities for AME are thereby the growth of aviation.

          Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Course Streams

          AME Course Streams are furthermore classified into 3 major categories:-

          A : Category A is the license for the engineer who can maintain, repair, and troubleshoot the simple defect of an aircraft.

          • A1:- Sub category A1 license holder solve the simple defect in aeroplane with jet engine.
          • A2:- Sub category A2 license holder rectify and repair the simple defect in aeroplane with piston engine.
          • A3:-Sub category A3 licensed AME maintain, repair, and solve the simple defect in helicopter with jet engine.
          • A4:- Sub category A4 licensed AME maintain, repair, and solve the simple defect in helicopter with piston engine

          B1 : Category B1 is the license for mechanical stream in aircrafts. The mechanical stream is related to the components such as Fuselage, Landing Gear, and Wings etc.

          This license have further divided in the following categories:-

          • B1.1:- License B1.1 certifies the aeroplanes with Jet Engine.
          • B1.2:- License B1.2 certifies the aeroplanes with Piston Engine.
          • B1.3:- License B1.3 certifies the helicopters with Jet Engine.
          • B1.4:- License B1.4 certifies the helicopters with Piston Engine.

          B2 : Category B2 is the license for avionics stream in aircrafts.

          • The avionics stream is mainly related to the electronics system.
          • This license can be attained in following categories:-Electrical System Instrumental System Radio Navigation and Communication

          Working Sectors for an AME

          The working sectors where an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer can do work.-

          • Airlines:
            • Airlines is a company which provides regular services carrying people or goods in aeroplanes.
            • Before aircraft fly, Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer has to analyse and solve the problems of aircraft.
            • After signing certificate an aircraft can fly.
          An aircraft in a hangar for maintenance or repair tasks.

          • Maintenance, Repair and Overhauls (MRO) industries:
            • MRO companies are those companies which specialize in performing maintenance actions on aircraft and their components such as jet engines, landing gears etc.

          • Aircraft Manufacturing Companies:
            • Aircraft Manufacturing Companies deals in the manufacturing of aircrafts such as Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, etc.
            • For maintaining and operating engines, electronics system etc Aircraft Maintenance Engineer is hired.
          • Also Aircraft Part Manufacturing Companies:
            • Aircraft are made up of numerous parts
            • To manufacture those parts Aircraft Part Manufacturing Companies have builds.
            • An AME can analyse those parts and help them to build better ones.

            • ICAO, EASA, etc are the Aircraft Operation Organization.
            • Their organization deals with well being and protection of civil aviation.
            • When it’s about Safety in aircraft, AME is the first name that came out.
          • Flying Clubs:
            • A flying club is an organization that provides its members with affordable access to aircraft.
            • That aircraft need to be maintenance which is done by licensed AME.
          • Aviation Training Centres:
