The passenger was arrested and detained by domestic workers until the plane arrived safely, and was handed over to Varanasi police.
Explaining the incident, a SpiceJet spokesman said, “The non-presidential incident happened on Saturday on a flight to SpanJet Varsary. The passenger who called Gaurav stopped and went straight to the emergency door and tried to open the passenger door when the plane was already in the air. ”
Employees immediately notified the captain who requested Air Traffic Control (ATC) to come first, “said a spokesman for the department.
After the plane arrived safely at Varanasi Airport, the passenger was handed over to local police by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and SpiceJet security personnel.
According to sources, the passenger was sitting at 1C and was wandering around the plane after takeoff and suddenly tried to open the exit door.
The whole incident was reported to the airline by the Director General of Aviation Management, and the Director General of Aviation (DGCA). The airline has yet to decide whether to put the top passenger on the fly-free list.
